Agostino Cuntrera, the old-school Rizzuto mobster gunned down last week in Montreal, QC Canada with his driver and body guard Liborio Sciascia, was buried today, and "more than 600 people" attended his funeral services as reported by The Gazette. A number of "uniformed and plainclothes officers could be seen outside the church" as reported by CTV. Video
Cuntrera "is thought to have taken over as head of the notorious clan" following the 2007 racketeering conviction of reputed boss Vito Rizzuto involving the 1981 murder of three Bonanno crime family capos in New York City as reported by CBC News: "known as the 'the Seigneur of Saint-Leonard,' Cuntrera commanded fear and respect, said former Montreal crime reporter Michel Auger."
