A reputed Bonanno family associate pleaded guilty yesterday to threatening to kill a man who owed a $500,000 loan-sharking debt.
James Malpeso, 41, of Staten Island, drove around in a white Cadillac Escalade with a handgun in the center console, meeting occasionally with the debtor.
During a meeting with the victim, Malpeso was taped by federal agents threatening, "You owe $110,000 . . . you never f- - -king paid. . . . I'm going to put a hole in you somewhere."
Malpeso faces up to 20 years in prison, but under a plea agreement, the most he'll likely get is five years, plus a $100,000 hit for restitution.
