Gambino mobsters plead guilty to extortion and racketeering
Three Gambino wiseguys pleaded guilty today to mob extortion and racketeering charges.
Anthony "Nighthawk" Licata, a Gambino soldier, pleaded guilty in Brooklyn federal court to racketeering charges related to construction industry shakedowns.
William "Big Billy" Scotto, another Gambino soldier, also admitted to attempting to shakedown a man in the construction industry.
A Gambino associate, Emmanuel "Manny" Garafolo, pleaded guilty to extortion conspiracy charges.
All three wiseguys were all arrested in January 2011 during the biggest single day mob raid in US history.
They faces varying prison terms ranging from 2 to 4 years, when they are sentenced in June by Judge Dora Irizarry.
