Two crooks caught robbing Big Ang from Mob Wives bar
Don’t monkey around with a “mob wife.”
Two dim-witted crooks learned that the hard way after they were busted hauling away a trailer full of kitchen equipment from the Drunken Monkey bar — a Staten Island watering hole featured on the reality-TV show “Mob Wives,” The Post has learned.
The heist took place early Sunday at the hot spot co-owned by big-lipped, raspy-voiced “Mob Wives” star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola and her cousin Sallyann Lombardi, daughter of late Genovese crime-family capo Salvatore “Sally Dogs” Lombardi.
It was around 3:20 a.m. when Joseph Romano, 36, and John Duffy, 34, peeled away with a stainless-steel refrigerator and sink, a metal fan and a wooden table, court papers state.
“If I wasn’t outside smoking, they would’ve gotten away with it,” said Lombardi, who witnessed the caper.
The trailer was ditched at Manor Road and Ravenhurst Avenue, but the suspects were caught 20 minutes later by highway cops.
