Over 200 of our readers believe that the Persico clan should relinquish control of the Colombo crime family. As many of us know, the Colombo's have been on the receiving end of an onslaught from federal authorities that has severely handicapped its leadership on the street. Along with the continual announcement of new government cooperators, many mob watchers consider the Colombo's the joke of the New York underworld. It remains to be seen what will be done with the family going forward.
