A NJ appellate court upheld the conviction and sentencing of reputed Colombo soldier Aurelio Cagno as reported by Charles Webster for the Asbury Park Press:

Aurelio "Ray" Cagno, 68, formerly of Toms River but now serving a 40-years-to-life sentence in New Jersey State Prison in Trenton, was convicted of gunning down James V. Randazzo in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn on Hope Road in Tinton Falls in 1993, and of racketeering conspiracy for his criminal activities with the Colombo crime family, including the Randazzo slaying and the 1988 murder of a high-ranking crime family member.
